Dr Dan’s Diary
Dear SIS-PIK Families,

Welcome back to a brand new academic year at SIS-PIK! It’s hard to believe that we are already over halfway through the first term, and what a busy, vibrant, and exciting start it has been.
We began with a wonderful success at the World Scholar’s Cup in Seoul, where our students once again showcased their talent and determination on the international stage. Soon after, the whole community came together for our Independence Week celebrations. This was a highlight of the term so far, combining moments of solemn reflection with lively and joyful events that brought the spirit of the occasion to life. Most recently, we had the privilege of welcoming a team of Harvard students, who delivered a special leadership course designed exclusively for SIS-PIK students. It was an inspiring opportunity for our young leaders of the future. You can read more about these and other activities from the past month in this issue.
A very warm welcome also goes to all our new staff members. As the school has grown, so too has our team, allowing us to broaden our subject offerings and create even more opportunities for our students. In this issue, I am delighted to introduce you to our new colleagues, who are already contributing with energy and enthusiasm.
This year also marks the launch of our new Student Support Team. This brings together both existing expertise within the school and specially recruited staff, ensuring a comprehensive approach to pastoral and academic care. The team provides targeted support in EAL, educational needs, emotional and well-being counselling, and university guidance – helping every child at SIS-PIK to thrive both in their studies and in their personal growth.
The year is already shaping up to be one filled with achievement, new opportunities, and a strong sense of community. Thank you for being part of it, and I look forward to all that is still to come.
Best wishes,
Dr Dan
