WSC Global Round in Seoul
The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) brought its excitement and intellectual challenge to Seoul from 22 to 30 July 2025. SIS-PIK proudly participated in this prestigious event, representing both our school and our country on the international stage.
Each year, WSC invites qualifying teams from regional rounds across the globe, and this year was no exception. From a pool of talented scholars, SIS-PIK’s teams earned their places through rigorous regional competitions, securing the opportunity to compete at the global level.
The Seoul event hosted an impressive gathering of 1,100 scholars from 30 countries, all eager to showcase their knowledge and skills. Among these bright minds, SIS-PIK’s teams stood out, qualifying to compete at the global round. Over the week, our students demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork, and knowledge across a wide range of subjects and competitions.
Their efforts were rewarded magnificently. The Junior teams brought home a remarkable total of 18 silver medals and 20 gold medals. The Senior teams achieved 22 silver medals, 32 gold medals, and 5 prestigious trophies. These achievements not only highlighted their academic excellence but also embodied the spirit of international camaraderie and perseverance.
SIS-PIK’s remarkable performance in Seoul 2025 will be remembered as a proud chapter in the school’s history, inspiring future scholars to aim high and reach for greatness in the years ahead.
In addition to their successes in competition, three of our students also showcased their talents in the Scholar’s Talent Show. Hyori Dermawan captivated the audience with her soulful rendition of I Hate Myself for Loving You. Jenall Sophia Ally Shomari impressed with her heartfelt performance of All Falls Down, while Jenall Jaslyn Ally Shomari moved the crowd with her powerful interpretation of Never Enough.
Their performances added a vibrant and inspiring touch to the event, demonstrating the diverse talents and creative spirit of SIS-PIK students. Their participation in the Talent Show exemplified the school’s commitment to holistic development, blending academic excellence with artistic expression.
