CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

On 28 February, from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, SIS-PIK proudly hosted the 2026 Chinese New Year Celebration on campus under the theme “Striving Forward, Galloping to Success”. The event aimed to strengthen community bonds, promote Chinese cultural traditions, and showcase students’ talents.
The campus was beautifully decorated with festive ornaments, creating a joyful New Year atmosphere. Parents, students, and staff gathered together to celebrate this special occasion.
The celebration took place in two venues – the MPH and the school field. In the MPH, the audience enjoyed a series of wonderful performances, including singing and dancing, drama sketches, band performances, and interactive online games. A highlight of the morning was the high school teachers’ performance, which received enthusiastic applause. The Head of School’s New Year speech was both inspiring and uplifting, filling everyone with hope for the year ahead.
At 10.00 am, accompanied by an exciting lion dance, the crowd moved to the field to continue enjoying performances by the Primary School students. Around the field and canteen, booths organised by the four Houses offered games and a variety of delicious food. Participants not only had fun but also contributed to charity through their involvement.
Special thanks were given to the Chinese mothers who lovingly prepared and cooked dumplings for everyone to enjoy, adding warmth and a strong sense of tradition to the celebration.
The event concluded successfully, marking a joyful and meaningful beginning to the Year of the Horse.
