On October 14, our Nursery students enjoyed an exciting Learning Journey with STEM and Play, where they explored creativity through a fun STEM programme. They built simple robots using LEGO, creating adorable chicken and puppy structures!
Meanwhile, on October 17, our Kindergarten students had a wonderful trip to the Jakarta Aquarium, where they saw and interacted with various animals such as binturongs, capybaras, and snakes.
It was a week full of discovery, hands-on learning, and joyful experiences!

Learning Beyond Walls: A Fun-Filled Primary Journey
From October 13 to 15, 2025, our Primary students enjoyed a wonderful Learning Journey as they explored different venues for hands-on learning. This year’s trips were filled with fun, educational, and engaging activities designed for each level, in collaboration with the ESTU team. Each destination provided students with meaningful experiences while ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the journey.
Grade 1 & 2 – Ecopark, Ancol
Grades 1 and 2 embarked on an exciting trip to Ecopark in Ancol, where they experienced nature and learned about sustainable living through hands-on activities. They took part in planting, transplanting, and feeding animals, and discovered how hydroponics works. Students also explored eco-friendly areas such as the greenhouse, energy house, compost house, and bee house, and identified various fruits and vegetable plants.

It was a day full of learning and fun – students returned to school happy, inspired, and with a deeper appreciation for the environment.
Grade 3 & 4 – Jakarta Bird Land
Grades 3 and 4 visited Jakarta Bird Land, where they discovered a variety of fascinating birds, including macaws, cockatoos, hornbills, and eagles. They listened to educational talks about habitats, behaviours, diets, and conservation, and joined hands-on activities such as feeding the birds and colouring bird illustrations inspired by real species. Students were amazed by the birds’ vibrant colours and feather patterns, while also applying mathematical skills to count, group, and compare bird species.
The trip was both fun and inspiring, helping students appreciate the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting wildlife.

Grade 5 & 6 – Faber-Castell Factory Visit
Grades 5 and 6 explored the world of creativity and innovation at Faber-Castell. They learned about the company’s history and discovered how markers are produced using eco-friendly technology such as RO water systems and food-grade ink.
During the factory tour, students observed automatic machines in action and watched a product demonstration on the Connector Pen. They also joined a creative coloring workshop, drawing class, and UBWC (Use Big Wide Colour) art session.
Through mathematics integration, students calculated production rates, explored colour combinations, and solved packaging problems. Before returning to school, they enjoyed shopping for their favourite art materials.
It was a memorable and educational experience that nurtured both their curiosity and creativity.
