TOK EXHIBITION
On 11 September 2026, our Grade 12 IBDP students took part in the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition, an opportunity for them to explore questions about how knowledge is created, communicated and understood.
Each student selected a knowledge question from a list of prompts and curated an exhibition of three objects. Through written commentaries and discussion, students explored how their chosen objects connected to their knowledge question and demonstrated how questions about knowledge can be seen in the real world.
One example was Audrey Keira Widiyanto’s exhibition (Grade 12D), which explored the question: “What challenges are raised by the dissemination and/or communication of knowledge?” Her exhibition considered how information is communicated and interpreted, and the challenges that can arise when knowledge is shared through different forms of media.
The TOK Exhibition reflects the wider purpose of the TOK course, which encourages students to think critically about how we know what we claim to know. It also provides opportunities for students to connect ideas from TOK with their other Diploma Programme subjects and with issues they encounter in the wider world.
One student described the experience as an exciting opportunity to showcase her objects and share what she had learned through the process of developing her commentaries with other students and visitors.
