LET’S SPELL THE NUMBER WORDS!

Part of learning Numeracy, numbers and number literacy, is to spell and write number words. The K1 children had begun learning the concept since couple of weeks ago where they were introduced to the number words spelling from “one” to “fifteen”. Since English is not a full phonetic language with many words is not spelled the way they sound, we taught the children to memorise the number words through songs and games. The K1 children had a fun activity where they had to arrange the letters to form into number words. Here, they learnt how to work in a group and arrange the jumbled letters accordingly so they would make sense. Learning about numbers is so much fun!
