WRITING STORIES IS EXCITING

Language teachers explicitly focus on four language skills; reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Writing is one of our favourite challenges. Teachers focus on expanding student vocabulary, and practising the conventions of grammar. Students are encouraged to explore and have fun while they write. 

To excite students to write, teachers use the “story jumper” application in their lessons. With this application, students can use their creativity and imagination to write their own stories. Moreover, their written stories can also be read by other people online. Wow, how fun is it?

Students are excited about using this application in Bahasa Indonesia class. Some students wrote their own stories; others retold fairy tales or stories they have read. They used colourful, interesting pictures to make their stories really fun to read.
