ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) WEEK
The AI Week event was a five-day-long celebration (6-10 February 2023) of all things artificial intelligence and its impact on our lives. Attended by our High School students, the event included a variety of workshops, competitions, presentations and games all aimed at promoting AI education and exploring its potential.
The AI Week event included a Robotic Line Follower workshop and competition, where students learnt about the basics of robotics and programming, and put their skills to the test by building and programming their own line-following robots. The competition was a thrilling experience for the participants, as they watched their robots navigate a challenging course, following a line as quickly and accurately as possible.
One of the main highlights of the event was the Metaverse and AI presentation, which was entirely created and executed by the students. This presentation showcased the students’ cutting-edge research and projects in the field of AI, and provided a glimpse into the future of computing.
The AI Week event also included a Metaverse exploration experience, where attendees were able to explore a virtual world using the website Spatial. This experience provided a glimpse into the future of computing, where virtual and physical worlds will be seamlessly integrated, and allowed attendees to engage with AI in a new and exciting way.
Finally, the event concluded with an AI-powered escape room, which utilised Augmented Reality technology to create a truly immersive experience. Attendees were challenged to use their problem-solving skills and knowledge of AI to escape from a virtual room filled with puzzles and obstacles. This event was a fun and interactive way for attendees to put their AI knowledge to the test and gain a deeper understanding of how AI can be used in real-world scenarios.
